Terms of use
This document covers two things: (1) the use of the site aisearchoptimizations.com and (2) the status of the materials Citability Field Lab publishes. The site is informational; the field notes are research observations, not professional advice.
1. Use of the site
The content published on aisearchoptimizations.com reflects what the lab observed at the time of writing. Model behaviour, vendor policy, and third-party data shift over time; an observation made in one quarter may no longer hold in another. If you use the site's content to make decisions outside of direct correspondence with the lab, you do so at your own risk.
Industrial collection of the site's content is not permitted, nor are attempts to reconstruct the working method from the public content for the purpose of resale or republication. Linking and quoting with a stated source is, as a rule, allowed.
2. Status of the field notes
Field notes describe one or several runs of an AI-search system against a specific prompt set, in a specific region, at a specific time. One run is a sample; it is not a verdict on a business, a vendor, or a region. The notes are research observations, not professional advice — legal, regulatory, commercial, or otherwise. They do not constitute an audit, a certification, or a recommendation to act.
3. Contact form
Sending the form is neither an offer, a contract, nor a promise from either party. It is a structured way to send a regional oddity from an AI-search answer. The lab reads incoming messages manually and replies when the case fits the corpus. The submission itself does not create a right to a particular reply, a response time, or a publication.
A message may be declined if the subject falls outside the lab's scope (advertising requests, promotional pitches, abstract questions without an example answer), if the case lacks the region or prompt wording needed to compare with other runs, or for any other operational reason.
4. No guarantee of result
Visibility in AI-search systems depends on factors no one fully controls: model behaviour, vendor policy, the site's own structure, and time. The lab makes no representation about a specific outcome for any business named in or absent from a field note. Coverage in the corpus is not endorsement; absence is not condemnation.
5. Liability
For free use of the site, the lab's liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. Liability is not excluded for wilful misconduct, fraud, gross negligence, or any other case where the law does not permit exclusion.
6. Applicable law and jurisdiction
For use of the site, the law of the operator's place of residence applies, with jurisdiction of the local courts, unless consumer-protection legislation in your country of residence imposes a different jurisdiction in your favour.
7. Changes to these terms
These terms are updated as the working practice evolves. The "Updated" date at the top of the page marks the version in force.
